YOUNG ONES 2018-2019 CLIENT PITCH COMPETITORS
Case Study | Tech Innovation | Website | Video Editing
The brief presented by the New York Times asked our team to find a way to combat fake news without getting political. Our solution was Dig, a browser plug-in that automatically scans websites for elements of fake news to create a reliability score. This score is accompanied by fact-checked reasoning and links to other relevant articles so the reader can learn more. Dig helps readers to better recognize the signs of bias and fake news so they can become more news literate citizens.
This case study video explains our research, insight, and solution to the NYT Brief. The video walks the viewer through what Dig is, how it works, and what it looks like in action. Based on this video our team was one of 10 teams selected to present our work at the Young One's client competition in New York City in May of 2019.
